Facts versus Opinions in Writing Take 2!! (Freebie until Sunday!)

As the school year is dwindling down, I am trying my BEST to keep the kiddos (and myself) entertained.  They all loved the Reasoning With Rain Facts Versus Opinion activity, so I figured I would make another one!   ( if you missed it, find it here for free)

Here is Petal Pondering.  It's a fun spring/summer themed fact vs. opinion activity complete with a sun themed board and flower sentences.  


It also includes a homework/ carryover sheet for extra practice.

We Belong Together

Need some print and go worksheets to cover associations, categories, analogies, similarities and differences? I've got you covered!  This pack is almost entirely black and white for easy printing.  No laminating or cutting required.  PLUS there are several levels of each activity for differentiation.

Contents/ Directions
Pages 4-9: What doesn’t belong (4 sheets that progress with difficulty for differentiation)
Circle the one that doesn’t belong from a field of 4
Name the category of the remaining items (use page 9 as a branching strategy to cut out and paste category names)
Draw a picture of the group
Pages 10-11: Category Writing Activity (Levels 1 and 2)
Circle the words that go together
Write a sentence explaining why they are similar
Pages 12- 15: Color by category (4 sheets that progress with difficulty for differentiation)
Follow verbal or written directions to color by category
Target phonemic awareness for students to sound out unknown words
Pages 16-19: Associations
Match the things that go together (level 1 includes pictures. Level 2 is words only)

Writing Activity Go Togethers- name 2 items that go together and tell why.  Level 1 includes a word bank.

Father's Day Tie Theme Packet

I love theme activities- and we can't forget about dad! I finished a new packet that includes 4+ activities with a Father's Day/ Tie Theme! All activities can be differentiated to fit the needs of students from K-5th grade and are aligned with common core state standards. This pack will provide you with weeks of activities! You can find it HERE on TpT.







Contents/ Directions:
Multiple Meaning Words: Pages 3-10 Laminate and cut pages 3-8. Can use to match “ties” to frogs with provided target (multiple meaning) words. As a branching strategy, print multiple pages of blank frogs (page 9) and have student name the target (multiple meaning) word using context clues. Use page 10 to record answers or as carryover/ homework.

Categories: Pages 11-16. Laminate pages 11-14. Cut out pages 13+14. Have student match members to given categories. Use pages 15+&16 to record answers, as a branching strategy for the student to name their own or as carryover/ homework.

Sentence Creation: Pages 17-22. Includes 2 levels. 
Level 1: Use pages 17-18 to construct sentences with 2 given words. Use page 21 to record sentences.
Level 2: Use pages 19-20 with level 2 students to construct sentences with 3 given words. Use page 22 to record sentences.
